Internship Programs
Metropolitan has three Internship Programs to train, educate and prepare pre-professionals.  College undergraduates and graduate students will gain practical work experience through a paid temporary job assignment related to their academic/educational field of study. Interns learn about the water industry while applying classroom theories and concepts to “real-world” work situations.  Please read the details below for more information about the internship programs.

Metropolitan's Engineering Services Group designs and manages the construction of water-related structures and facilities, including pipelines, water treatment facilities, operations centers, hydropower plants, reservoirs and numerous regulating structures.

Metropolitan offers two internships - summer and year-round. Both internships are designed to augment the students' studies with practical work experience at Metropolitan. Students can apply for either or both internships but must fill out separate applications for each.

This internship is open to all students who meet requirements regardless of the school you are currently attending.

All applicants must apply through the Cal Poly Office of Cooperative Education.
