Water industry affiliations:

Griset served as president and director of Orange County Water District (1992-1999), Commissioner of the Santa Ana Watershed Project Authority (1996-1999) and president and director of the Los Angeles and San Gabriel Rivers Watershed Council (1999-2008).

Professional and community activities:

Griset is the founding principal of the Griset Insurance Group, a brokerage firm assisting privately-held businesses and individuals with employee benefit plans and other insurance risk management programs. As a Chartered Life Underwriter he is also a member of the Society of Financial Service Professionals

Griset was the Mayor, Councilmember and Planning Commissioner of Santa Ana. He also served as Director of Orange County Sanitation Districts, Chair and Commissioner of the Orange County Transportation Commission, Director of the Orange County Transit District, Director and Advisor of the National League of Cities and the Director of the Orange County Life Underwriter's Association
