Water industry affiliations:
Wilson is a Padre Dam representative on the Water Authority’s Board of Directors and serves on the Water Authority’s board’s Engineering and Operations Committee, Imported Water Committee, and Audit Committee.  He previously served eight years on the Padre Dam board from 1989 to 1997.
Wilson also served as Padre Dam’s general manager from July 2006 until his retirement in December 2010.  Prior to that, he was Padre Dam’s director of finance for nine years.

Professional and community activities:
A certified public accountant, Wilson taught accounting as a member of the San Diego State University faculty for six years.  He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from California State University, Northridge. 
A veteran, he served as staff sergeant in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War as well as in Japan.  He is a member and past president of the Santee/Lakeside Rotary Club and Santee Chamber of Commerce.
He and his wife, Pam, have three children, and four grandchildren.
