Professional and community activities:

Sanchez helped establish Community United for Compton, a non-profit, community-based organization dedicated to civic participation and city improvement.  Also serves on the board of the Gardena Valley Christian School Parent Teacher Fellowship.

Sanchez is also involved in the Compton Jr. Posse Equestrian Program and volunteers as a catechist and religious educator at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Compton.
